The mini bean was one of the first stops on my itinerary for New York. I have wanted to see The Bean in Chicago for many years so when I learnt that he had a mini bean in New York I couldn't wait to get there.
What a disappointment awaited me, his work was being renovated but worse than that it appears that another level or balcony has been added to the building that the mini bean stands beneath so instead of looking like it's squeezing out from beneath the building its now surrounded and overwhelmed by the building. Lets hope this surround isn't a permanent feature!
