Easter workshops

Updated: Jan 2, 2023

I went to Wigan today to discuss workshops for over Easter. There's a lot of work to be done but it should be good. Watch this space...

I’ve been thinking about the work for dejunk rejunk that Alison asked me to do. I really wanted to create somethings like ivy. English ivy is a fast grower and can cover a lot of ground so I thought it could adapt to different environments in the gallery too as I don’t know where or how it could be displayed, hopefully in a multitude though.

English ivy is classed as an invasive species in America, and Australia and New Zealand classes it as a weed. I can see why it would be considered invasive, it is easy growing, tough plant here but there the conditions are such that it just spreads so rapidly.

So instead of my statement being about the invasive species being introduced into our country its going to be about our plant life being introduced else where and becoming invasive.
