Today I helped at the ‘VIDA family workshop at the Williamson art gallery. The theme of the project was patterns and plates and we used the Della Robbia plates in the gallery as the subject to inspire the children. They used stamps and stencils to create repeating patterns on paper plates. Christine Taylor and I ran the workshop and as the session progressed my confidence grew.
On the first Sunday of next month we are running another workshop at the Williamson which is still based on the plate theme but where the children can make their patterned plates into Christmas decorations.
