This piece just appeared between two buildings today. I love Dubuffet's work, I think this is the third piece I've been able to interact with. Each piece has evoked a very different experience, in this case these huge mushroom shaped pieces shade you from the engulfing high rise buildings, allowing you to feel a little relief, escaping this dense, entrapping feeling of the city for a moment. And yet it draws your eyes upward, glimpsing the high rises against the blue sky allows you to appreciate and see the city in a different way.
