Filming as a record

I've been filming myself teaching for the remote lessons I need to produce for school. It's more difficult than you would think, trying to get the angle, lighting etc right to be able demonstrate drawing techniques adequately. I'm getting better at it especially the editing part. I've been picking up tips from my son and I think I'm getting to grips with it now so I have started making records of my own work through filming processes and using time lapse photography too. I'm enjoying the experience and I'm quite pleased with the results although I am sure when I've improved my techniques and overall results I will look back at these recordings unsatisfyingly. I think its important to keep a record of your work, ideas, processes used etc and usually I would do this through a sketchbook, but that is really personal to me and not something I want to share with others were as these videos are being made with the intention of sharing the experience with others.

I have very quickly learnt that there are things I don't want to share though. The first few videos I attempted to make had me in them, this isn't enjoyable to watch back so I've tried something different keeping me out of the picture.
