The set up went well. Amy was fantastic, she was very welcoming, showed us round TAP which has great studio space as well as a huge space for exhibiting. I had a migraine when I was setting up, so it took hours longer than I thought it would even with help and so I couldn’t face the journey home. Amy and her husband kindly let us stay at hers, which was such a relief.
I think the show will go well, not everything was set up when we left, but I was looking good.
I spoke to Alison earlier about my work. She said I might be able to get hold of a spray to make my work fire resistant. Ive been looking on the internet and there’s a crystal formula that can be made into a spray and can be applied using an ordinary plant sprayer. Apparently you only have to apply a fine mist to protect it. I don’t know if I’d have to spray the inside of the work as well though, that would be tricky with a lot of my pieces.
