If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

One of the teachers is leaving our department in work and I wanted to make her a paperweight out of paper as I reminder of me but it's turned out to weigh almost nothing!

It was very time consuming to make because each layer of paper had to be glued and after a few pages where stuck together they had to be pressed but it was quite enjoyable and more messy than usual, making a pleasant change.

It has made me think that I could use the technique of layering up paper to create something environmental though, using magazines and book pages. I am thinking of eggs maybe and it being about the loss of birds. It might be difficult to get the shape right though.
